Purpose

Coordinated Authorized Assets

Coordinates heterogeneous crewed and uncrewed assets within explicit mission intent and delegated authority.

Mission Impact

Human-machine teaming and adaptive command.

System Relationship

One Governed Mission Loop

Operates through shared MIOS, MIOL, Mission Object Graph™, Orion Knowledge Fabric™, identity, evidence, and governed contracts.

Architectural boundary
Autonomy™ coordinates authorized tasks above native platform controls. It does not replace OEM flight controls, vehicle safety systems, mission computers, or interlocks.

How it works

Autonomy™ registers assets, discovers current capabilities, decomposes tasks, solves constraints, allocates and deconflicts resources, dispatches bounded tasks through platform adapters, monitors execution, adapts only within authority, and records outcomes.

Operational inputs
  • Mission tasks, priorities, desired effects, and completion criteria
  • Authority tokens and geographic, temporal, safety, and policy constraints
  • Trusted objects, asset capability, health, network state, and threats
  • Selected course of action, partner permissions, and simulation feasibility
Governed outputs
  • Authorized task plans and asset assignments
  • Deconflicted routes, schedules, reservations, and communications plans
  • Execution status, exceptions, contingencies, and safe-state actions
  • Signed task, authority, telemetry, and outcome evidence

How it works with the system as one unit

Autonomy™ receives tasks from Command™, authority envelopes from Govern™, trusted context from Fusion™, selected guidance from Decision™, feasibility evidence from SIM™, and partner constraints from Coalition™. It coordinates above native platform controls and never bypasses OEM safety systems.

Designed as one bounded responsibility

Each ZR Orion product owns a distinct operational responsibility, evidence model, authority boundary, and lifecycle. Modularity prevents one component from silently accumulating every authority while preserving continuity across the complete mission loop.
